Mike Stinnett is a talented saxophonist known for his smooth sound and captivating performances. Based in the Pacific Northwest, he brings a unique blend of jazz, R&B, and contemporary music to every event.
Mike has enjoyed a 55-year relationship with the saxophone, with performances all across the United States, Canada, and Europe, in a vast array of musical genres. Career highlights include performances with The Temptations; Grammy Award winner Bubba Hernandez; Scrote; as well as recordings with Sub Pop artist Mark Lanegan.
Currently located in the Pacific Northwest, Mike has spent nearly four decades in Austin, Texas performing with music legends all over the "Texas Triangle", from Dallas, to Houston, to San Antonio and all points in between... and beyond, including the Cornell Hurd Band, Bad Livers founder Mark Rubin, Texas songwriter George Carver, and the iconoclastic Little Jack Melody.
Mike holds a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas and offers woodwind lessons to all ages.
